Greg Christensen, Director
Our Director
Greg Christensen received his Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Grand Valley State College, and has been a music educator for the past twenty-eight years. In his professional career, he has served as Director of Bands at Carsonville-Port Sanilac Schools, Port Huron Northern High School, and Forest Hills Public Schools. He is currently leading the band program at Forest Hills Eastern High School. In 1990, Mr. Christensen was selected by his colleagues as the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association (MSBOA) “Band Director of the Year” for District 16.
Professionally, Greg has served as the Associate Director of the St. Clair Community College Band, East Shores Honors Band, Sanilac County Honors Band, and the Kentwood Community Band. He has directed at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and has conducted numerous band clinics throughout the state.

President: Bob Binder
Bob is employed at X-Rite Inc. as the Customer Success Manager, providing technical support for X-Rite products throughout North America.
Bob began playing again with the Forest Hills Adult Community Band 4 years ago after a very long hiatus. He currently plays in the Beltline Big Band.
Before stepping away from the trumpet for a number of years, Bob played with several groups including the “Stardusters” Big Bands from 1974 to 1987 – (and yes, Bob was very young in 1974).
Bob played in the Aquinas College Jazz Band in 1978 and 1979 school years.
Bob also played with the Kent Philhormonia in the 1986 and 1987 seasons.
Bob studied under Lynn Asper and Leonard Allman.
