It’s time to register for the fall semester!
– Rehearsals are Thursdays 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm from September 4 – December 11 (omit Thanksgiving).
– Concerts are October 19 and December 14 at 2:30pm (1:30 report time). For reference, winter semester (requires new registration) concert dates are March 8 and May 17.
-You must register with with FHCS online at https://fhps.digitalsignup.com or call 616-493-8950 during business hours.
The fee is $75 until 1-week prior to the first rehearsal (Thursday, August 28), then it increases to $85. There is no discount for participating in a portion of the semester. Please register before the first rehearsal so we can plan for section counts.

You’re probably familiar with the music of “March King” John Philip Sousa, now join the Forest Hills Adult Community Band in paying homage to Sousa’s programming preferences as leader of the US Marine Band! In structuring his concerts, Sousa selected pieces that fit into certain categories–“Overture,” “March” (of course!), and so on–to build his vision of the ideal concert balance. Join the band for this beautiful bouquet of Sousa-inspired selections!

The Board of Directors of the Forest Hills Adult Community Band would like to announce the hiring of Dr. John T. Martin as the new Director/Conductor of the FHACB!
Dr. Martin is an Associate Professor of Music at Grand Valley State University and has been the director of the GVSU athletic bands since 2009.
We feel very fortunate to have found someone as uniquely talented and enthusiastic as Dr. Martin to lead us into the future. His vision, both musically, and more specifically for our program has us excited about the things to come for the FHACB!
